Last Update

December 7, 2008

So it’s the end my friends. This is basically the last time I’m going to use this blog, (with the exception of putting up the last things for the final) But this project ran right up to the last minute basically, Wednesday Nick, Kenton and I met up and made the last revisions to our project, attempting to smooth things over. And in class Thursday we made even more very VERY last minute finishing touches to the video. Then Friday we met up again and did our voiceovers, burt them to DVD’s and now all we have to do is our individual parts of the project and burn the actual video to a DVD. *Whew* It’s been a long semester but a good one and this class was a ton of fun :) I’d reccomend anyone to take it and broaden their horizons.

Update III

November 18, 2008

Yesterday Nick and I met at the lab and got a bunch of work done on the rough cut and the edits. And Tom sent the proposal to Cheryl who got back to us and he’s working on more edits for that, Kenton is working on the voice over stuff we needed. And tomorrow we’re meeting in the lab again to hopefully finish the rough cut completely and get the small edits done as well as finish the proposal, and get the voice overs into the video and possibly some other small stuff. But that’s it it’s almost done! :D

Update Report 2

November 9, 2008

So another one of these update things, and we’re progressing slowly we’re almost done getting the rough cut of our video together we should have that done by the time we leave the lab today. Nick is working on the BTS footage and some montage stuff we’re doing. Kenton and Tom are working on getting a lot of the rest of the video in order and uploaded and I’ve been working on our proposal a bit, as well as helping upload video and miscellaneous stuff. But work is getting done so we’re getting there :)

Progress Report Uno

November 6, 2008

So… So far for our project we don’t have much I will admit, Nick Kenton and I met at Kenton’s apartment last week and came up with a tentative outline for the flow of our video to take. Then last night I reviewed all the BTS footage and came up with a storyboard for our behind the scenes that we could work on. As well as on Tuesday (Yay Obama!!) Andrew and I uploaded two tapes of ours, the Driving to Louisville tape as well as one other session uploaded. But I’m feeling overwhelmed and trying to take this all piece by piece. :)

for our ways to help our project going along or whatever you want to call it. We could

1. Interview the editors of the e-book, and bounce their opinions off what we as students think.

2. We could have the member of our group follow around a specific speaker (if they let us) for some of the day, see what they do who they talk to etc… as well as going to our sessions and getting footage from there.

3. As a back up plan, we could just run with the idea of the “Game Boi” session by Samantha Blackman as well as ask students at ISU their opinions of the way gays/bi/lesbians etc are portrayed in the media.

Any other suggestions?

“Every community has a memory of itself…”

October 2, 2008

The pitch: That because everyone is a living memory of their life and it’s events I want to create a “living” virtual memory of the conference to share with everyone.

P.S. This is a rough draft shall we say mmk?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
New phrasing…
I would like to create a narrative of a main character at the conference. What does this person find interesting, where do they go, how did they get there, what was their overall impression of the information they’ve spent 3 days absorbing.
PS this is still a bit of a rough draft
